From L-Size to Global Brand: Business Growth by Resilient Systems
Thai Brands in the Global Arena
Launching a business demands entrepreneurial spirit, but scaling it into a global brand requires more than passion and creativity—it requires resilient systems. As part of the first-ever SX New Champions series, the SX TALK STAGE session “Business Growth by Resilient Systems” gathered leaders who have successfully expanded Thai brands onto the global stage:
Waritta Suebphanwong, CEO & Founder, Mizumi
Sorot Teaodechwan, CEO, Activeplus Blue & Successor, Kaew
Dhiti Towiwat, CEO, Thammasorn Group
The discussion was moderated by Sinto Wanitkit, Head of SME Future Readiness at BRANDi and Companies.

Diversification is Key
A recurring theme throughout the session was diversification—of products, markets, and people—as the foundation of long-term resilience.
Mizumi: From offline retail to online channels, Waritta quickly embraced digital commerce during Covid-19 and became the first Thai brand to tap into TikTok Shop just before the social commerce boom.
Kaew: Sorot transformed the traditional Thong Muan snack into a modern treat, while also leveraging coconuts—an ingredient with both Thai roots and global appeal—to expand the product portfolio and meet wider consumer needs.
Thammasorn Group: Dhiti emphasized the importance of strengthening resilience at home before diversifying into international markets.

Sustainability Beyond the Environment
While sustainability is often associated with the environment, the speakers highlighted that it extends far beyond. It includes business models, partnerships, and communities. Dhiti, who has been practicing sustainability for over three decades—long before it was a “trend”—outlined three levels of sustainability:
Company Sustainability: Ensuring the core business can survive.
Partner Sustainability: Building long-term stability with suppliers and distributors.
Community Sustainability: Supporting the social ecosystem surrounding the company and the wider community.
What began as CSR has evolved into a license to operate, and today it has become a competitive advantage. As Sorot noted, sustainability is what differentiates Kaew from competitors in an increasingly crowded market.

Preparing for Tomorrow
In her closing remarks, Waritta reminded Thai entrepreneurs: “Agility is important, but so is planning and preparing for tomorrow.” Too often, businesses focus solely on the challenges of today and forget to anticipate what lies ahead. True resilience comes from balancing agility with foresight.
Resilient Systems in Practice (Workshop)
The workshop extended these lessons into practice, with Rattanapon Monmahachinda, CEO & Founder of Juzmatch, joining Sorot as mentors.
The key takeaway: resilience requires collaboration, and collaboration rests on clarity of purpose and communication. As Rattanapon shared: “When choosing partners, it can’t just be someone who matches at the executive level. They must align with the rest of our team across all levels of the organization as well.”
This session underscored that building resilient systems is not only about surviving disruptions—it is about enabling Thai brands to thrive globally, sustainably, and for the long term.
