ASEAN’s Largest Sustainability Expo Unveiled

An invitation to decode the answers to adaptation and collaboration, aiming to transform the world towards sustainability at the SUSTAINABILITY EXPO 2025 (SX2025).

As ASEAN's largest and most influential sustainability exposition of the year, SX2025 will be held from September 26 to October 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).

This landmark event brings together a comprehensive showcase of technologies and innovations across various dimensions of sustainability, including health, food, and housing. It features engaging workshops that promote learning and hosts world-renowned sustainability experts who will share their experiences and inspire action. The entire expo is guided by the core concept of “Sufficiency for Sustainability.”

Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chairman of SX2025 and President and CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev), remarked on the event's significance: “SX2025 is the largest sustainability exposition in the ASEAN region, now in its sixth consecutive year. It operates under the guiding principle of ‘Sufficiency for Sustainability,’ which is inspired by the Royal First Command of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua to ‘preserve, continue, and build upon’ the royal legacy and to reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the people. This is combined with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“The Sustainability Expo was first launched in 2020 to create a platform where people of all ages and backgrounds can participate in driving sustainable development across economic, social, and environmental dimensions. In 2024, the event attracted over 770,000 visitors. This year, we are honored to welcome over 750 distinguished speakers and sustainability experts from around the globe, along with more than 270 leading Thai and international companies and organizations. They will come together to share knowledge, explore cutting-edge technologies, and inspire everyone to join in creating a more balanced world.

M.L. Jirapan Davivongs, Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, delivered a special keynote address at the opening ceremony, emphasizing that the "Sufficiency Economy Philosophy" is a universal principle that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He highlighted the "principle of immunity" as particularly crucial for navigating constant change, requiring a robust defense against situations and risks, coupled with continuous risk assessment. This principle, when combined with moderation, reasonableness, and the virtues of knowledge and integrity, becomes a powerful tool for creating balance across social, economic, and environmental spheres. He also shared examples of the Chaipattana Foundation's work to inspire all sectors to apply these principles and contribute to a sustainable world.

During the event, the prestigious SX SHAPER AWARD was presented to honor individuals and organizations that have concretely created positive change for society and the environment. This year, the award was bestowed upon Enactus, a global non-profit organization that has built the world's largest network of students and business leaders dedicated to making a better world through real-world action.
