The 10-day Sustainability Expo 2024 (SX2024)—ASEAN’s largest sustainability event—has officially concluded with resounding success. Now in its fifth year, SX2024 shattered attendance records, welcoming more than 740,000 participants both onsite and online at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Launched in 2020, the Sustainability Expo (SX) was initiated by five leading Thai conglomerates united under the Thailand Supply Chain Network (TSCN):
-
Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited
-
PTT Public Company Limited
-
SCG
-
Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev)
-
Thai Union Group Public Company Limited
The event will continue to be held annually through 2030, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which have designated the current decade as the “Decade of Action” to achieve 17 global goals across five key dimensions: People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace, and Partnership.
SX goes beyond showcasing innovations in environmental sustainability. It has evolved into a global platform connecting businesses, citizens, and governments to collaboratively shape a more sustainable future—because “sustainability is everyone’s responsibility.” This year, over 700 speakers and contributors from 270+ organizations shared ideas and inspired change, reflecting a clear B2C2B model, where empowered consumers are influencing sustainable practices across the entire value chain.
“We are not closing the curtain; we are launching forward into SX2025,”
declared Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chairman of SX2024, at the official closing.
“Our mission is to turn inspiration into action through partnerships across all sectors—because sustainability is everyone’s responsibility.”
In his LAUNCHING FORWARD SX2025 address, Mr. Thapana emphasized the importance of expanding cross-sector collaboration and enhancing all five thematic zones for next year:
-
SEP INSPIRATION
-
BETTER ME
-
BETTER COMMUNITY
-
BETTER LIVING
-
BETTER WORLD
He called on everyone to take part in shaping the future as SX Shapers, contributing to a world striving for Net Zero.
“Net Zero is not the responsibility of any one individual—it requires collective action from governments, the private sector, and all of us as consumers. We owe it to future generations to return the planet’s natural resources in an even better state than we received them.”
He further remarked:
“When we talk about sustainability, we often think on a global scale. But it truly starts with the individual. If the world is to reach net-zero carbon emissions, every country, organization, and citizen must do their part. We all use the Earth’s resources—and we all must help restore them.”
The Expo continues to operate under the guiding philosophy “Sufficiency for Sustainability,” inspired by the vision of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn to uphold and extend the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. This principle of balance and moderation remains central to SX’s mission of raising public awareness and fostering sustainable development.
“In today’s business environment, we often pursue extremes—consumers demand the best quality at the lowest price. We live in a world of intense consumerism. The question is, how can we coexist with the planet and build a sustainable future together?”

Looking Ahead to SX2025
