B-Boy dancing is not merely about being a B-Boy who dances just for fun or posing cool with style. It is both a science and an art of movement that requires intense concentration and mindfulness in every step. Each dance session involves reviewing moves, training the brain and memory, as well as controlling bodily movements — simultaneously exercising both the body and mind.

At the SX IDEA LAB zone during SUSTAINABILITY EXPO 2024 (SX2024) at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) on September 30, 2024, Khun Phaiwan Kaenakat from the Mhong Cyber team invited participants to move their bodies through a workshop titled “B-BOY: Dancing for Happiness — Fun for Both Body and Mind, MORE THAN B-BOY.”

Khun Phaiwan explained, “B-Boy dancing is closely connected to music — moving the body in sync with rhythm. It is a fusion of dance and sport. We must thoroughly understand the skills of our body. Sustainability means being ourselves and exercising in ways we enjoy. Good dancing requires breath control and mindfulness. With regular practice, we can improve body control. For example, when we fall, we can organize our body to reduce injury. It also includes controlling objects, which sharpens awareness and quickens our skills.”

         During the activity, participants practiced skills such as ball tossing and spinning, which enhance agility and equipment control in harmony with breathing. Training in timing the ball toss helps deepen self-awareness and reduces fear in trying new things. Participants enjoyed tossing balls with laughter and smiles throughout the session. The workshop concluded with an impressive special performance by the Mhong Cyber team, who brought their full crew to deliver an exciting and entertaining show that captivated the audience from start to finish.
